	Description:	Megan makes unique blank books, often with containers. She prefers to use simple book structures that function well and allow the materials to speak for themselves. Books are tactile as well as visual objects, and the feel of a book is as important to her as its appearance. Her aim is to make books that are calm and subtle in design, yet activated by areas of colour and texture. Megan trained as a bookbinder at Brighton Polytechnic. She has taught bookbinding extensively in schools and colleges including North Devon College, Somerset College of Arts and Technology and the Slade School of Fine Art. Her book conservation clients include the National Trust, All Souls College, Exeter Cathedral Library and several private collections. Megan is a part-time primary school teacher and loves to make books with children.
