Linda Bristow lives and works in Wiltshire surrounded by meadows and woodland areas. The diversity and beauty of this environment inspires her to create her ceramic sculptures.
In order to capture the diversity each sculpture is hand formed and so each is unique. Clay, slips and glazes are used in a spontaneous and imaginative manner, reflecting textures, shapes and colours to be found in nature.
Linda is passionate about the environment and current issues that surround this topic. Her work aims to remind us not only of the beauty of our wild areas, but also how modern society plays a large role in survival of our British countryside.
The delicate and varied nature of these sculptures, truly reflect the fragile yet enduring aspects of the environment. |
