Description: |
Mary produces a wide range of useful and decorative stoneware pottery, especially bowls, vases, lamp bases, boxes and dishes. She paints with subdued slips, using wax-resist and sgraffito techniques to expose the clay through the slip and create her distinctive and pleasantly quiet decorations. She lives in the heart of the Somerset Levels and many of her designs are inspired by the wetlands flora and landscape. |
