Description: Tim makes unique and distinctive raku ceramics. The pieces are either thrown on a wheel or hand-built. The surfaces are burnished using a pebble or back of spoon and then nursed individually through a raku firing. At 1000C each piece is removed red hot and placed in a smoking chamber containing wood shavings. Smoking results in a variety of effects, some planned and some random, giving each piece its distinctive qualities.
