Jenny makes her felt from combed fibres, primarily wool, building up layers, incorporating the design on the surface, and then spraying with hot soapy water. After careful rolling and pressing, hot and then cold water is applied. This links the fibres as the material shrinks, and produces felted fabric which she uses to make hangings.Commission enquiries through the Devon Guild are welcome. |
