Description: Michael's chosen process is stone lithography, in which a drawing is made with grease-based pencils and inks on to any absorbent stone. He concentrates almost exclusively on landscape, painting and sketching out of doors. He is drawn to receding vistas, limitless coastlines, nature in her wilder moods and dramatic skies. He aims not for exact representation but rather for a pictorial equivalent. Commission enquiries through the Devon Guild are welcome.
