	Description:	I live in South Devon and work in a studio next to the house.I have a Degree in constructed textiles and an M.A. When I work I feel inspired by the yarns I use. I import nettle from Nepal, the yarn is brownish and because it is hand spun has an uneven beauty about it. I have also managed to buy hanks of antique linen that were found in an attic in France, it is hand spun and full of character. I have a method of 'beating down' the yarn by hand that creates an unusual texture. Prehistoric standing stones have influenced my recent work but the decoration does not depend on imagery so much as the surface qualities inherent in the yarn.
