Description: Pat weaves a flat Gobelin-like tapestry, using frames to hold the warps taught. The wefts are mainly wool which she dyes herself with chemical light-fast dyes, enabling her to get a wide range of repeatable colours. Her work often reveals her earlier art training, ranging from painterly landscapes to more symbolic and abstract designs, with richness and subtlety of colour especially important. She likes to explore the inner harmonies, rhythms and textures, in woven letter forms and other repeated marks.
