Friends' Tile Painting Workshop

THURSDAY 25 MARCH 2010 10am-12.30pm.
Join us on a visit to Penny Simpson's Moretonhampstead ceramic studio. Penny will introduce us to her work and the art of ceramics and after enjoying tea/ coffee and cake we will be experimenting with tile painting. Please note this is a Friends only event.

Storytelling with Wilf Merttens

TUESDAY 6 APRIL 10.30 -11.30 am in the Jubilee Gallery
'Storytelling is magic. It is a cross between hypnotism and the cinema' says Wilf. And he should know because he's not just any storyteller, he's National Young Storyteller of the Year 2009!

Burglar Bill Puppet Show presented by Armchair Puppets

WEDNESDAY 14 APRIL 2010 4.30-5.15 pm
Using glove and shadow puppets, this gentle version of Burglar Bill will delight all the family. Stripy clothes and burglar masks may be worn!

Visit to the Leach Pottery and St. Ives

THURSDAY 29 APRIL 2010 8.30 am-7.30pm
Ticket includes transport to/ from St. Ives and entry to the Leach Pottery with an introduction by the director Julia Twomlow plus a guided tour, tea/ coffee and cake. After this the bus will drop off participants in St. Ives where you will have some free time to spend as you wish.

FRIDAY 11 JUNE 2010 
Celebrating its 7th anniversary The Contemporary Craft Fair will show and sell work of over 160 makers.

Yakimono 2

THURSDAY 15 JULY- SUNDAY 15 AUGUST 2010
Join us on Saturday 17 July 2010 (11am-4pm) for a Japanese inspired day at the Riverside Mill where you can meet the makers and learn more about their work. Yakimono 2 is the follow-up exhibition to our 2008 showcase of Japan-based potters Peter Seabridge, Tomoko Okuda, Taketoshi Ota and Masahiro Kumagae.

Visit to Art in Action, Oxfordshire

SATURDAY 18 JULY 2010 8am-8pm
Join us on a bus trip to Art in Action set in the beautiful grounds of Waterperry House with over 250 demonstrators from a wide range of disciplines including painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics and textiles. Be prepared to be surprised, even overwhelmed, by the scale and creativity on display.

Visit to John Makepeace's house and Montacute House

WEDNESDAY 29 SEPTEMBER 2010 9am-6pm
John Makepeace, the renowned furniture maker, will open the doors to his home and gardens in Dorset and give a short introduction to his work. Afterwards we will visit Montacute House and gardens (National Trust) and enjoy a guided tour of the house.

Big Draw Event

THURSDAY 28 OCTOBER 2010 11am-4pm
Join us for a family all day 'drop-in and draw' event in the Craft Focus room.

Visit to Made by Hand, Tredegar House, Newport, Wales

SUNDAY 5 DECEMBER 2010 9am-6.30pm
A visit to the new craft fair Made by Hand - a wonderful opportunity to meet and buy directly from 135 of the UK's finest designer makers and 40 fine food companies in a festive and historical setting. You can wander the main mansion house, stable blocks, the Orangery and formal gardens of the Renaissance mansion and watch craftspeople demonstrating their skills.
