Muse-Makers-In-Museums-Andrea-OkeMuse: Makers in Museums is a project that is supporting eight artists to make new work in response to the unique collections to be found in the small community museums of Devon and Somerset. Since May 2017 the artists have been working with local groups to explore the collections, and have been developing inspirational work in a range of craft media.

Project work will be shown at each Museum during:

Devon Open Studios from 9 - 24 September
Somerset Art Weeks 23 September - 8 October

The work of all eight Makers will culminate in a special exhibition at the Museum of Somerset in Taunton. This wonderful museum is free of charge, open Tuesday - Saturday (and bank holiday Mondays) 10am - 5pm, last entry 4.30pm.
