The miniature enamel painting on 18ct gold was re-commissioned after the insurance pay out and has taken over 6 months to complete. The enamelling techniques Gillie employed were both traditional and innovative, incorporating gold and silver and involving about 25 firings.  It involved two engravers and two goldsmiths.
