A Good Age - exhibition - Sat 21 Sep 2019 -Sun 03 Nov 2019

Jubillee Gallery. Open daily, 10am-5.30pm. Free entry.

Devon Guild of Craftsmen and Libraries Unlimited have commissioned five UK-based professional artists, born before 1948, to make new contemporary craft responding to a theme of age and change.

They were asked to consider either personal change within their lifetime or change relating to the bigger global issues that surround us. In this exhibition, sculptor Dave King, enamellist Elizabeth Turrell, printmaker Hugh Ribbans, sculptor Ian Gregory and textile artist Keith Gretton will be presenting their responses alongside the creative outcomes from a series of artist-led workshops which took place in 5 Devon libraries. These workshops were open to members of the public aged 65 + who considered issues of age and wellbeing, as well as the theme of change within their lifetime.
