Maker's Details - Morton-Evans, James

James Morton-Evans is a furniture designer who draws upon the language of organic morphology to make exquisite, timeless furniture which is as much sculptural as it is functional.

Category: Furniture
James was trained worked in Mayfair and at Buckingham Palace with the finest examples of antique furniture in the country.  James only uses native British hardwoods, worked mostly with hand tools. Machinery plays its part where appropriate but never compromises the design.

My furniture does not hide its debt to the skills and traditions of the past. It is created to enhance a contemporary living space just as much as it is to sit comfortably alongside its antique predecessors.
