Support us while you shop and help us gain much needed funding for our free family drop-in workshops, craft demonstrations and gallery activities.

co-op-logo_Bovey-Community-FundIn 2018-19, the Devon Guild has been chosen as one of the Co-op's Local Community Fund charities! Every time Co-op members shop 1% of what they spend goes into the fund at no extra cost to you!

All you need to do is:

  • Sign-up for Co-op membership (if you’re not already a member)
  • Choose the Devon Guild of Craftsmen as the charity you wish to support on your online account
  • Do your usual shop at Bovey Tracey Riverside Co-op, Bovey Straits or Trago Co-op and show your membership card at the till.

Guild Raffle 2019

We held a raffle after Christmas - where you could win one of these beautiful craft prizes (below).
All proceeds will go towards our charitable work, teaching craft skills to young people, supporting the creative careers of makers and connecting people, through craft. The craft Raffle Prizes were:

  • Helen Brice – Sterling Silver ‘Asteroid’ Earrings Set with Garnet
  • Charlotte Duckworth – ‘Jam Spoon’ Silver with holly handle
  • Helen Harrison – ‘Beaky Jug’
  • Phil De Burlet – Soap Dish with Soap (image of similar dish, may differ from final prize)
  • Yuli Somme – Floor Cushion
  • Peter Wickham – Prints ‘Avebury I’ and ‘Santa Maria Novella’
  • Veronica Gould – Cushion (image of similar cushion, may differ from final prize)
  • Nigel Eveleigh sawdust  - fired ceramic pot

.....and further prizes - including donations of craft from  Penny Simpson and Gillian Spires, a free year's 'Friend' Membership and an opportunity to take part for free in a Devon Guild workshop of your choice. COST: £2 per ticket or £10 for a book of x 5.

Leave a legacy

A gift in your Will is a great way to support our long term future. Your legacy will bring craft into the lives of more people, support the preservation of craft skills and the creation of enduring, unique pieces.

All legacies to charity are tax free. If you make a gift to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen in your Will, its value will be deducted from your estate before inheritance tax.

If you would like more information on how to leave a legacy to Devon Guild of Craftsmen, please get in touch with our Development Officer or call on 01626 832223. We advise you discuss your bequest with a qualified professional such as a solicitor or will writer who will be able to give you specialist advice according to your own individual circumstances.
